Fitness24Seven - Low-maintenance and easy-to-use aquatic equipment in fitness centres across the country
The international Fitness24Seven chain opened its first fitness centres in Finland in 2012. The chain's gyms are open to its members 24 hours a day, as the name suggests.
Fitness24Seven fitness centres in Finland have been using products resold by Aqva Finland Oy for over 12 years. The showers, taps, hand dryers and hair dryers in use ensure carefree, safe and water-saving operation.

Certified water fixtures meet the strict criteria of fitness centres
The first DELABIE showers were installed in Fitness24Seven gyms in 2012. One of the first fitness centres of the chain in Finland is located in Käpylä, Helsinki.
Vella Mehtola, the gym's Finnish Operating Manager, says that the heavily used showers at the Käpylä location have had only a few minor maintenance issues in 10 years of use.
The requirements for taps and showers used in fitness centres come from the fitness centre group in Sweden. Fitness24Seven gyms have limited staff on site, only at certain times of day depending on the gym, which places certain demands on the products used in the washrooms.
"Faucets and showers in fitness centres must be such that they cannot be left to drain. At the same time, we want to rule out the possibility that people don't know how to use the taps or that the products could be tampered with," says Vella Mehtola of Fitness24Seven.
"Ease of use is also an important criterion. The customer should intuitively understand how the tap works - without the need to twist and turn knobs."
DELABIE products are designed and manufactured to withstand continuous use. A simple push button reduces the possibility of vandalism or misuse. Hot water cannot cause burns or other damage because the shower's proactive SECURITHERM mixer detects any disruption in the cold water supply and automatically cuts off the water supply if necessary. In addition, a self-closing mechanism on taps and showers prevents misuse and the resulting risk of water damage.
The flow rate of the tap can be easily adjusted using the slots on the timer cartridge itself to drain water from 1.4 litres to 6 litres per minute.
Mehtola describes the DELABIE nozzles and taps in use as being virtually unbreakable. The need for maintenance is very rare and he is usually able to answer questions about the taps from fitness centres himself.
"It's really easy for us to adjust the flow rate of the taps ourselves - in effect, to decide how much water flows out of the tap before it automatically shuts off.
The warranty period for DELABIE showers and taps has just been extended from ten years to 30 years. Spare parts are guaranteed for 50 years. The longevity of the fitness centre showers and taps is therefore not a coincidence, but a feature of high-quality, carefully manufactured and engineered products.
Dyson hand dryer saves money
Fitness24Seven gyms are paperless - hands are dried in the washrooms with the powerful Dyson V Airblade hand dryers. Being paperless is not only ecological, it also saves money on facility maintenance costs. Facilities stay clean and hands stay dry even when staff are not always present, and there's no need to constantly empty paper-clogged bins - or worry about toilets clogging with paper.
"Ecological hand dryers support our company values and are cost-effective. We temporarily used hand towels in fitness centres during the interest rate pandemic, but switched back to hand dryers for the ecology and cleanliness," says Mehtola.
The gym chain has a very precise conceptual design guideline that defines exactly what the gyms look like. In gyms decorated with high-tech colours and text, products in the washrooms, such as hand dryers, must also be stylish and fit in with the look of the gym.
